Case Management:
Domestic workers health Center assists migrant women workers, that have encountered work exploitation or human trafficking (i.e.housekeepers, nannies, elderly care providers,and hotel and restaurant workers) and women holding refugee and asylee status, as they transition into social, financial and emotional independence in the Washington DC metro area. To do so, BTCC provides referrals for: rapid re-housing assistance, medical, dental and mental healthcare,and employment in addtion to food subsidies and emergency clothing, all free or at a low cost. Via an established and growing network of local landlords, community service providers, private business owners, and translators, BTCC is able to thoroughly meet our clients’ needs with quality and cultural competency.
Our team of trained licensed Social Workers and MSW Interns is dedicated to the empowerment of each participant and institute their relationships with all BTCC clients on the belief that the most vulnerable have equal potential and interest to contribute to and develop their community.
Legal Assistance Referrals:
After a potential participant is referred to BTCC, our Progam Manager reffers them to legal counsel and services through an established network of lawyers who handle cases on a pro bono basis in the Washington, D.C. metro area, to determine their immigration or civil legal needs. BTCCs Progam Manager monitors the development of all cases to ensure clients are aware of all their legal options and the progression of the legal processes is efficient.
